Family Education

Kesher’s Family Education recognizes that Jewish learning is a life-long process (to see our full mission statement click on Mission Statement on the left). We respond to the needs of our families and design and implement programming to achieve our goals, keeping the diverse needs of our community in mind. Kesher holds many events throughout the year  (check out our Calendar) where families come together to celebrate holidays, havdalah, Erev Ivrit, and end of the year moving-on ceremony and picnic. We have built sukkot together and have welcomed each other in to each other’s homes. During the calendar year curriculum Kesher celebrates Shabbat dinner together several times throughout the year. In the fall and spring, the different Kvutzot (groups) gather together outside of Kesher for a bagel brunch to get to know each other better. Kesher parents also gather together for a variety of adult learning opportunities, book club to discussion groups to lecture series to text study and workshops. Over the past couple of years Kesher has become involved in four terrific and important local projects which we call Kesher Community Connections.  We hope you will join us for some or many of our wonderful gatherings.
